"I'M FINDING IT HARD TO FALL ASLEEP...

these days, I don't know why..." As some of you might now, this is the first line of our song ›I Know I Say That All The Time‹ and yeah, it fits perfectly these days, too. It has probably to do with the hot summer and my long nights out mixed with big changes, but I don't know what the exact reason is. Anyway, it tells me I should start recording again, that helps out most of the time, I might find new lines though.

ACOUSTIC LAKESIDE

I've just had an A M A Z I N G weekend, eventhoug I can't quite remember all details. We've rehearsed twice this week and I was a little scared that it wouldn't be enough for the show we had to play on Friday as everyone was somewhere, on holiday or I don't know where and we hadn't played in over two months. But these two rehearsals weren't all that bad. We were asked to play as ›acousticly‹ as we could as the festival was called Acoustic Lakeside and all bands would reduce their music to the most important elements. As we hadn't done that in a pretty while I was a little nervous before the rehearsals, but we somehow found a way to really leave out all computer and electronic stuff. No beats, no synths, no electric guitars, no electric bass, but cajon, acoustic guitars, upright bass and much more... We were just overwhelmed when we finally arrived at the Sonneggersee, it was one of the best locations for a concert I had ever seen! The show was awesome, the swimming was too and so was the after-party and the rest of the days. On Saturday we went swimming in some other lake near the place we had played and went back to Vienna afterwards. Thanks for having us, can't wait for the next time we'll have such an amazing time!

THE MANGANIYAR SEDUCTION

I was so surprised when I entered the Museumsquartier in Vienna tonight. I mean, I know that everybody's there in summer time, but I didn't know there were so many everybodys! I had difficulties finding a way through the crowd in order to find my friends as so many people gathered around the stage! Actually a friend called me before in order to tell me that a huge stage was set up and she asked me to check what was going on there (she was in front of the stage already, I was still working in front of the computer). So i checked the internet and didn't quite find out what was going on, so I took my bike and went there too! As soon as I took my earphones off and left the ›Wombats‹ behind while I was trying to dig my way through the crowd a 42 piece Indian band started playing: T H E   M A N G A N I Y A R   S E D U C T I O N. After one hour of amazing harmonies and beats I was just incredibly overwhelmed by the amazing performance... I whish I could play with them. The stage art was so awesome and the music just really really touched me! Just like Boysetsfire 4 years ago, but that's another story. Btw. PHOTOGRAPHY

I've recently bought quite some new cameras. We'll they are actually not new at all, the newest is from the early 90ies, most of them from the 60ies and 70ies. But yeah, I am quite passionate about photography, I was since I left Bolzano, and my dad gave me his old Pentax SuperA, but I have never taken it so far... Now I'm owner of a nice selection of different toys and Markus recently said I sould post the link to my Flickr site, if anyone wanted to see what my shooting is all about. So... here it is: flickr.com/christianel Let's be Flickr friends, ay? Anyone wanna donate a Flickr Pro upgrade? ;-)

GRAY? GREY!

One of Ani DiFranco's most amazing songs is called Grey, some shirts we've bought in the past to print on do have the color tag ›Gray‹ on them. I've tried to find out what that's all about, looked the word up in the dictionary and the explanation is: one is British English, the other one American English. Hmmm...
